European Residencies June 1-July 31

Daniel has received two fellowships this summer to advance his choreographic and film projects. The first, from the Brown Foundation Fellows Program at the Dora Maar House in Ménerbes, Southern France, will allow him to be in residence for the entire month of June developing new dance film projects. The 18th-century town house, above, was purchased in 1944 by Pablo Picasso for the artist Dora Maar (1907-1997), who was his companion and muse in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Daniel’s creative time abroad will extend through the full month of July in Murcia, Spain thanks to a fellowship provided by the Aktuelle Architektur Der Kultur.
