Saturday, March 17–The American College Dance Association’s Northeast Conference invites the Company to perform a suite of six dances from Encore. Two performances will take place the evening of the 17th at Montclair State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance.
April 28, 29 (Saturday, Sunday)–The New York Jazz Choreography Project presents the Company in the acclaimed duet Well, Git It! from Encore at the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance in Manhattan. The New York Jazz Choreography Project is a celebration of jazz dance featuring original works by emerging and established choreographers. Audiences of all ages with be treated to dances in a variety of styles, from traditional to contemporary, and the chance to see the richness of this great American art form. Saturday, April 28, 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 29, 4 p.m. – a talkback with the choreographers follows the Sunday performance. Click HERE for Tickets! Saturday, May 26–IDACO NYC, Italian Dance Connection presents The Company in our newest dance Affront at Baruch Performing Arts Center, Baruch College, Manhattan, 8pm. Project curated & produced by Flusso dance project in collaboration with the Italian Culture Institute, NY & The Baruch Performing Arts Center. A wide variety of artistic styles await audiences with dance companies, artists and filmmakers to participate. Thematic roundtables, site specifics, dance performances and an opening event at the Italian Cultural Institute, NYC are included in the Festival week. Events will be held in various locations; all dance performances are to be held at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.
June 9, 10 (Saturday, Sunday)–New Dance Alliance presents the Company in Affront during their 32nd Performance Mix Festival at University Settlement, NYC. The first Performance Mix Festival (1986)* was groundbreaking in that it was the only festival at that time exclusively dedicated to performance art in lower Manhattan. Its continuing success is testimony to its vital necessity in New York’s cultural community. In 2016, NDA celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Performance Mix Festival.
