Internships

Do you love dance? Are you passionate about arts education? Are you a creative thinker and problem solver? Do you demonstrate terrific initiative and like to be challenged? Are you organized, reliable, hard-working, meticulously detailed, and flexible? Do you greet each day with a smile?

Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, a vibrant New York-based performing and teaching nonprofit organization, seeks highly-motivated interns to assist the Company remotely Fall 2021 on expanding and maintaining its Dance With Us platform. Working with the Company one gains an immersive introduction to the myriad tasks involved in running a dance company as well as the terrific camaraderie within. Our philosophy is that everyone can join the dance.  Our programming seeks to make dance accessible, educational, and exciting for all.

The Company has a history of summer interns from all over the country. Past interns have graduated from schools including The University of Michigan, Kenyon College, Skidmore College, Barnard College, Idaho State University, The University of Florida, and The University of Miami. Terrific friendships have always bloomed between our interns. What do we look for? Someone who is organized, has a familiarity, if not a passion, for dance and the arts, thinks creatively, excels at initiating projects, demonstrates a tremendous attention to detail, and enjoys working both independently as well as collaborating with a team.

An internship with us is an opportunity to develop new ideas, expand one’s portfolio, and gain expertise working for a nonprofit.
