Thank You For Your Generosity
Your support enables us to keep producing, from the studio to the stage. This photograph demonstrates the sweetest fruits from these efforts: a dozen elementary school students in Sheridan, Wyoming preparing for their performance in front of their community. Throughout our two decades of programming the Company has stayed true to its mission of cultivating the creation of innovative art and presenting this to the public in interactive, accessible, and meaningful ways. During our Fall 2019 Wyoming Tour we had the opportunity to do this, impacting the local community in significant ways.
The producer of the Whitney Center for the Arts shared this email received from a District Coordinator:
This is to let you know how very much I enjoyed the Daniel Gwirtzman Dance performance Sunday afternoon (October 20th). It was such a joy for me to see Daniel’s teaching style in action as he explained to the audience all that goes into a production of any kind. I particularly appreciated the explanations defining the differences between interpretation of dance and the telling of a story. I think so often people do not realize that “modern” dance is much like “abstract” art, loosely defined, and then left to the interpretation of the audience. Also, I really appreciated the old jazz music, rather than current music. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, and I am so excited to see Stephanie’s program grow. How exciting for this small community college in the least populated state in the union. Art can thrive anywhere it is nurtured.
Your support enables us to stay on stage, helps us bring students on stage, and helps us bring audiences to the theater’s seats. In 2020 we have tremendous plans to scale this programming through our Dance With Us resources. Thank you for helping us on our pathway there.
